Lagoon has once again struck gold with the layout and luxury of this Lagoon 560 catamaran.  A unique feature of this yacht is that guests can choose 4 queen cabins or have one of those cabins as a set of bunk beds to accommodate 2 families or single persons.  Altesse has also been customized with an extension to the flybridge offering more space that includes an extra BBQ and dining area that can sit all guests.  An additional “champagne deck” also offers a spacious area for sunbathing or relaxing. Altesse’s crew Richard and Sarah are an award winning crew with experience and in 2012 were named Crew of the Year.  They have been married for 12 years and are the perfect team working together.  Guests immediately fall in love with this professional dedicated crew.  Richard is a passionate sailor and diver master.  He knows the BVI like the back of his hand leading more than 200 scuba dives.  He has also competed internationally as a lifeguard.  Sarah is a professionally trained culinary chef.  Sarah prides herself on getting to know her guests needs and making them feel special in every way.  She is not only a world class chef, but an experienced sailor as well.  She is a qualified yacht captain; this husband and wife team makes your charter unforgettable.

We have all just scattered into the four winds after a fantastic week on Altesse. The BVI were beautiful and the boat is the best. The crew were extraordinary hosts. They worked like crazy to provide the pinnalce of hospitality while making it look effortless. They were warm, fun, attentive, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The food really deserves special recognition-every meal was just crazy good. They also worked out and executed an itinerary that worked out perfectly despite a demanding schedule of activities. I would recommend Altesse in the highest possible terms!

This was the trip of a lifetime! The yacht, Altesse was absolutely perfect for our group. There was ample space and the crew kept it immaculate. The crew's hospitality was incredible! This boat is like the presidential suite at the world's finest hotel. The food similar to a 5 star restaurant, it's every single meal exceeding all of our expectations. The planning of the itinerary and the sailing felt like we were guided by locals who knew the greatest treasures of the land. But we have learned that the best and most special part of life are the people you meet along the way. Sarah and Rich, you are special, kind, generous, professional, outgoing knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile. This trip was fabulous, but extra-special as we were so fortunate to spend our time with the two of you. See you next year!

Many Special Memories

This has been a FANTASTIC trip. Many special memories will stay with us. Highlights include; The baths with its stunning granite rocks. Devils Bay, not only because of the beautiful colour of the water, but also because of the COLD CHAMPAGNE that you brought to us as the perfect time. The marvelous snorkeling sites you guys points out, in particular the Indians and the Caves. You are an amazing couple! Thank you for making us feel as if we were at home. Sarah, thank you for being such fun and feeding us with exquisite dishes. Rich, thank you for all your guidance for the scuba team and for helping sailors enjoy the sailing. We are coming back next year, so we will not say 'adios', we will say 'hasta luego'.

All of the amazing meals will be greatly missed next week when we are home, as will Richard and his ability to always find the best anchorages. You were both so willing to accommodate our every whim. We will miss the most amazing turquoise water, white sand and spacious boat we could imagine. Altesse crew


Sarah and Richard are highly experienced, award winning charter crew who have completed more than 100 charters in the BVI and been presented with an award for Crew of the Year in 2012. Even more important than that their clients love them and want to keep sailing with this professional, enthusiastic and dedicated couple.

Richard is an accomplished yacht captain, sailor and divemaster. He has sailed extensively in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, but has developed an in-depth knowledge of the BVI, allowing him to adapt the charter to suit the guests on board and show them less frequented coves and bays as well as the hitting the top BVI spots at the best time of day. He has led more than 200 dives in the BVI and knows a large number of dive sites suitable for all levels of diver. Richard also competed internationally as a life guard, so always ensures everyone enjoys the water with the knowledge there is someone on hand to help if they feel ‘out of their depth’. Richard loves sharing his passion for sailing, diving, nature and the water with guests, ensuring they get the very most out of their trip.

Sarah is the epitome of the perfect First Mate and Chef. She has professional culinary training, but it is her passion and love of food that makes her the amazing chef that she is. She loves nothing more than to cook food which people adore and is happiest when she is adapting her menu to suit the tastes of those on board. Like Richard, she is fantastic with people and makes everyone feel comfortable and at home. Her biggest motivation is finding the extra personal touches that turn a great vacation into an unforgettable experience. She is extremely energetic and enthusiastic, and loves the outdoors. Sarah is always up for an adventure, whether it’s sailing, running with guests, hiking, diving or snorkeling. She is extremely neat and tidy, but as a qualified boat captain she also knows how to sail a boat and get her hands dirty when needed.

Sarah and Richard have been married for 12 years and work together perfectly as a team. This outgoing and friendly English couple create a unique environment on board; making others feel welcomed and part of their team. Their top notch professionalism shows from raising the first sail to catering to every individual need of those around them. They both take great pride in their work, and it shines through. Everyone who comes on board wants to come back and sail with them again and again.
